This document outlines the essential policies, guidelines, and agreements that govern your interaction with our services and products. We pride ourselves on transparent communication and exceptional quality, and understanding these terms will help ensure a smooth and delightful experience for all our valued customers. Key policies and guidelines

These sections clarify important aspects of placing an order, including what to consider before you buy, our policies on cancellations, and how we ensure a fair and protected service. Your understanding helps us maintain our high standards of service.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Booking & Non-Refundable Booking Fee

1.1 A booking is not confirmed until a non-refundable booking fee (amount will be confirmed on ordering) has been received.

1.2 The booking fee secures the agreed collection, delivery or dispatch date and reserves production time. The agreed date will be confirmed in writing/text/email.

1.3 The booking fee is non-refundable if the client cancels the order, subject to section 3.

1.4 By paying the booking fee, the client confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

  1. Final Payment

2.1 The remaining balance must be paid no later than 1 day before the collection/delivery date.

2.2 If full payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel the order. In this situation, the booking fee will be retained and the cancellation terms in section 3 will apply.

2.3 Orders placed within 7 days of the agreed date must be paid in full at the time of booking.

2.4 No order will be released for collection, delivery or dispatch unless full payment has been received.

  1. Cancellations

3.1 All cancellations must be confirmed in writing.

3.2 If the client cancels the order, the following charges will apply based on the number of days before the agreed date that written notice is received:

More than 28 days before the agreed date: the non-refundable booking fee will be retained. Any additional payments made will be refunded.

Between 28 and 14 days before the agreed date: 25% percent of the total order value is payable. Any balance already paid beyond this amount will be refunded. If the required amount has not yet been paid, the outstanding balance becomes immediately due.

7 days or fewer before the agreed date: 100 percent of the total order value is payable and no refund will be issued.

3.3 Any outstanding balance due as a result of cancellation must be paid within 7 days of written confirmation of cancellation.

3.4 If we cancel the order due to circumstances beyond our control, a full refund of all monies paid will be provided.

  1. Design & Amendments

4.1 All design details must be agreed prior to the final payment deadline.

4.2 Minor variations may occur due to the handmade nature of our products.

4.3 Requests for design changes after booking may not be possible and may incur additional charges.

4.4 We reserve the right to make minor adjustments where necessary, including substitution of decorative elements of equal value where original items are unavailable.

  1. Collection, Delivery & Postal Orders

5.1 For collection orders, responsibility transfers to the client at the point of collection.

5.2 For delivery arranged by us, responsibility transfers to the client once the order has been delivered to the address provided.

5.3 For postal orders arranged by us, the order remains our responsibility until it has been delivered to the address provided, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

5.4 If the client arranges their own courier or third-party collection, responsibility transfers once the order has been handed to that courier or third party.

5.5 We are not responsible for damage caused after responsibility has transferred, including improper handling, storage conditions or environmental factors.

5.6 While we take care in packaging postal orders securely, we are not responsible for delays caused by courier services. This does not affect the client’s statutory rights.

  1. Damage After Collection or Delivery

6.1 We accept no responsibility for damage occurring after responsibility has transferred under section 5.

6.2 If repairs are requested after collection or delivery, they will be subject to availability and charged at [insert rate or speciify that the cost varies] plus any associated transport costs.

6.3 We reserve the right to decline repair requests.

 

  1. Allergies & Special Dietary Requirements

7.1 The client must inform us at the time of booking of any allergies or dietary requirements.

7.2 Our kitchen handles common allergens including, but not limited to, gluten, eggs, dairy and nuts.

7.3 While specific ingredients may be excluded upon request, we cannot guarantee that any product is entirely free from traces of allergens.

7.4 It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the suitability of the product for all recipients.

  1. Non-Edible Decorations

8.1 Products may contain non-edible elements including support dowels, wires, cake boards, toppers or decorative items. Please take care and inform all recipients of this.

8.2 The client is responsible for ensuring these items are removed before consumption.

  1. Storage & Care

9.1 Products are prepared to ensure freshness for the agreed date only.

9.2 Sponge-based products are best consumed within 72 hours of collection or delivery.

9.3 Sugar paste products should not be refrigerated as condensation may affect the finish.

9.4 Buttercream and chocolate products may soften in warm conditions and should be stored in a cool, dry environment.

9.5 We accept no responsibility for deterioration caused by incorrect storage.

  1. Quality & Complaints

10.1 Any concerns must be raised in writing within 12 hours of collection, delivery or confirmed receipt of postal orders.

10.2 Photographic evidence must be provided in order for any complaint to be assessed.

10.3 No refund or compensation will be considered where the product has been fully or substantially consumed, unless required by law.

10.4 Nothing in these Terms affects the client’s statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

  1. Photography

11.1 We reserve the right to photograph our work for portfolio, website and social media purposes unless the client requests otherwise in writing prior to the agreed date.

  1. Acceptance of Terms

12.1 By paying the non-refundable booking fee or final invoice, the client confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
